Mamadou is an outstanding performer, and is currently percussionist for the internationally acclaimed Senegalese singer BAABA MAAL. Also percussionist for the critically acclaimed Senegalese artist and BBC World Music award nominee NURU KANE and his band the BAYE FALL GNAWA, and for PEE WEE ELLIS in his STILL BLACK STILL PROUD African tribute to James Brown outfit.

Mamadou is an experienced teacher and workshop facilitator and has worked extensively in educational, corporate and community contexts.  Mamadou works regularly for Drum Cafe and has facilitated team-building events across the UK and Europe.  Mamadou's education experience spans primary and secondary school to university settings and includes facilitating for Hackney Music Service, DNA Culture, Sewa Education, Djembe School and Akademi.
